Greetings…

I’d like to thank everyone who took some time to respond to Monday’s
column about Adam Lambert and the issue of he being gay. The comments
were 99.9999% positive. That being said…

There’s always ONE, and since it’s been a while since I’ve had some
fun with a negative piece of email, I thought I would share my joy…

First, the comment…

“Shame on you Jamie for endorsing Adam Lambert and his sexual preference.
God considers homosexuality an abomination and people like you that
condone it are as big a sinner as “they” are. I feel sorry for you and
all those who are too stupid to realize the causes for the decay of our
society. You shouldn’t be writing a column that may influence people
and guide them down the wrong path.”

Tsk, tsk, tsk…That’s right Missy, I’m Dorothy and I have been leading my
readers down the yellow brick road for almost 10 years. I have the power
to convert God fearing people into atheists, athiests into Priests and
to date, I have been able to “turn” hundreds of gays and straights to
the “dark side”…

Don’t spend too much time feeling sorry for me honey, it is I who feels
sorry for someone who is so narrow minded and ignorant to not only what
I actually wrote, but the message I “sent” to Adam Lambert…

You’re the type of person who sat in judgement and applauded when it
was illegal for black and white people to get married, or people of
different faiths, while pontificating from their holy roller throne…

Everyone IS entitled to their opinion on the subject of homosexuality,
but to deny ANYONE the same rights that those with the opinions have
is just plain wrong, wrong, wrong, and in case you didn’t hear me…

WRONG!!!

I don’t expect anyone to change their opinions because I voice mine,
and I honestly can’t say how I would first react if either one of
my sons told me they were gay. I said…”at first”…

But the one thing I DO know and have no doubt about and that is…

My love is unconditional and because of that love, I wouldn’t want
either one of them to suffer physically or mentally because of their
sexual preference…

And I also feel they have a right to enjoy all of the benefits that every
other citizen enjoys…
