A Little Last Minute Help

December 22nd, 2008

Greetings…

Both boys made it home safe and sound from Tucson and will be
on Christmas break until the 12th of January. They will be in
Colorado this week visiting their…Hmmmm, how do I put this,
Oh yeah, the woman who gave birth to them who finally remembered
it. Sorry gang, I call ‘em like I see ‘em…

Flyboy will be gone from Tuesday until Friday, and it looked
like it was going to be a pretty boring week…UNTIL, my sister
and mom decided to come and keep me company! Needless to say,
I’m thrilled and can’t wait to see both of them! Do you think
the ice storms they have been having had any impact on their
decision to visit, or do you think they both miss me so, so, so
much? Yeah, I’d go with the ice storms too…

Well? Are you all finished with round one of the madness? Of
course, I’m talking about the shopping. Or…are you like
millions of people who wait until the last minute for various
reasons that range from being a professional procrastinator,
a last minute bargain hunter, or a guilt shopper who received
a gift from someone you didn’t buy a gift for?

You still have 48 “quality” hours to dash out for that “thoughtful”
gift you have to buy. Maybe I can help ease some of the stress.
7-11’s are open 365 days a year, 24 hours a day and carry various
last minute items such as…

Breath mints…For that special someone who over-indulges in the
holiday “spirits” and wants to hide the evidence…

Various themed keychains…For that same special someone who will
probably lose their keys and won’t even remember what you gave
them anyway…

A Slurpee gift certificate…For that special someone who wants
to keep the holiday sugar coma going a little longer…

A Playboy magazine…For the dude who thinks he’s “all that”. You
must, however, put a post-it note on the cover of the magazine with
the words, “To The Legend In His Own Mind”…

And husbands or boyfriend’s…Let me warn you right off the bat, If
you try to give the love of your life one of those silk roses with
the nauseating smell from your local convenience store, there’s a
good chance it will be the main flower arrangement on your Christmas
coffin…

Since we won’t be mailing on Wednesday, I’d like to wish all of
those who celebrate, a very Merry Christmas and a happy holiday
season to everyone else! Be careful and stay safe. I’ll “see”
you bright and early Friday morning!
HO! HO! HO! and Ta Ta For Now…
